The staff are lovely. When my husband wasn't very well the girll and two lads on reception at the gym were most concerned. Thank you to them. I have given 4 stars because as a regular user of the gym there has been a lock missing off the middle shower door and 1 of the 3 hairdryers in the ladies changing room has been out of order for 2 weeks. Other than that the facilities are good and the staff very courteous and pleasant.

Booked a one night stay on a wowcher package and was absolutely outstanding! The grounds are beautiful and the whole place has such a lovely atmosphere. All of the staff are very friendly and informative. We had a fab treatment in the spa and all of the girls were really professional and polite. I had the scalp massage and my partner the facial, both treatments were so relaxing! The spa facilities offer a wide range and will leave you feeling totally blissed out! An equisite meal in the oak room restaurant, we were booked in quite late in the evening at 8.45pm (if you want steak I recommend booking earlier as theyd ran out) we both had the chicken which was absolutely delicious and the service in the restaurant was 5 star! We were too full for our desserts so the waiters offered to bring them to the room which was a special touch. We slept like babies in the comfy clean rooms and thought breakfast couldnt get much better but were wrong! So much choice, full English and all of the continental choices! Over all a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning.

Stayed for one night here and had a meal with a large group. Our room was very big but the others weren't as big, and we were all spread out across the different areas, having to walk out of the main hall to the rooms. Rooms very clean and had everything we needed, although the TV was in a strange place so it couldn't really be watched (not that we were in the room long enough to watch). Pool quite small, not great for doing lengths, multiple saunas and ice room and modern changing rooms; all very clean and use of these (plus gym) is included with the room price. Food was good, staff very friendly and attentive, breakfast buffet had a big range, although the hot food was a bit overdone. Overall a good stay in great surroundings (is you don't get a room right next to the road!)

Night away. Birthday surprise with my wife. Dinner. Bed and breakfast. Room was spacious. Spotlessly clean. Overlooking lake.3 course meal was good. Staff put balloons on table and sang Happy Birthday to my wife. Nice touch. Spa and pool very good.Breakfast offered a good selection. Tasty and topped up with freshly cooked food regularly.Staff were friendly and attentive. Would stay again for sure

My husband and I attended with another couple for a spa weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We have stayed a few times before and definitely noticed improvements. The hotel is set in really tranquil surroundings. The spa facilities are good. We found the staff to all be polite and helpful. We stayed in the Lakeside building and our rooms were very comfortable. The contrast between the restaurant and bar area provides welcome variety and space. We enjoyed a good choice of G&T menu and bar snacks as well as the sumptuous evening meal! An excellent breakfast was served on the morning which I think really may be the best breakfast when comparing to similar establishments! A truly relaxing and enjoyable stay and look forward to our return!
