Book onto classes online, only to arrive and find people who havent booked on have taken your place. Or classes are cancelled after people arrive. This happened several times so cancelled my membership. They then took an extra month payment, said they would refund, but still waiting for it nearly 2 months later. Other than that would be great, staff are friendly and pool is fine. Gym is basic but good for price. Shame about their organisation.
Could be ever so slightly warmer but other than that, you get it swim in and its great, usually not to busy and now fairly clean
Great fitness centre and swimming pools
This much loved pool may be in need of a facelift but you cant fault the staff or the community feel. Lou is wonderful with the youngsters and us menopausal lot at Ladies Only sessions. Martin is patient and gives confidence to the little ones starting out. Receptionist are always helpful and the cleaner really works hard to keep the old changing rooms clean. So you may hear this place is run down but it needs our support to keep it going. Its our local pool.. lets keep it !
The pools at The Quarry fitness centre are pristine and well-patrolled. However...the showers and dirty indoor changing rooms are not 21st century. I had to push my back against a button to get water in a communal area, averting my eyes from other swimmers' nakedness by gazing on the mouldy indoor pebble dash. How do you clean indoor pebble dash? Or not? Lovely staff make up for the 5 tarriff.
