Fantastic job done of restoring my Father's 1952 fireside chair. It was in a sorry state and I wanted to keep it. I sanded and waxed the frame and The Little Furniture Shop repaired the frame and reupholstered it in a fabric I picked. Heather was very patient with helping me find a contemporary fabric to bring the chair up to date and offered suggestions in studding and piping etc. The result is now pride of place in our smart new modern kitchen. Excellent service, highly recommended.
In July 2017 I took a small lounge chair to the Little Furniture Shop to be reupholstered. The chair still had its original springs which were in good order and not in need of replacement. Mark asked if Id like to have the springs replaced with a webbing base, he explained that he is a belt and braces man. I declined this offer as I felt it was unnecessary. They very kindly got the chair reupholstered in the time that I asked them to. We were absolutely delighted with the standard of workmanship on the chair and it looked wonderful. For which we paid 456.85 in total.We got it home and immediately tested it, which is where the trouble started. The new seat cushion was too soft and slipped between the springs and the wooden frame of the chair at the front. On closer inspection we discovered that there hadnt been a piece of fabric attached to the front and back of the frame, over the springs, which would also protect the cushion, which had been the case on the old original upholstery.When we contacted Mark and Heather they said that they couldnt do this due to the construction of the chair. They didnt offer to look again at the chair to see if the problem could be rectified. They gave us a piece of blue foam rubber to place under the cushion but that isnt satisfactory and did not solve the problem.The chair was not fit for purpose so I took it to another company in Shrewsbury who said they couldnt quite understand why the job wasnt done properly in the first place. They did say, however, that the standard of the new upholstery was excellent. The second company have done a wonderful job of fixing the problem and charged us 85.00. I have contacted the shop asking them if they would consider reimbursing me but have not even received a reply. For this lack of after sales service I am afraid I cannot recommend this company.
We had recently moved to Shrewsbury and had brought a loved chair with us that had been sadly ruined by our cats. Heather and Mark could not have been more helpful in advising us about fabrics and for coordinating the collection and return of the chair. The reupholstery is excellent. We also bought a new chair from them covered in a contrasting fabric. We are really pleased with the quality of the finished chairs. I highly recommendThe Little Furniture Shop.

A great little shop filled to the brim with bespoke hand made furniture. I can spend hours in there going through the materials thinking what will work on my furniture. Hand made furniture is the best it will last a lifetime and if you get bored you can revamp it by recovering. Quality is second to none and Heather and Mark really know their products and are always able to help with advice.I think their footstools are perfect for pet seats which would save the main pieces of furniture being wrecked by them. I just wish I had a bigger home so I could fill it with all their beautiful not to mention comfortable sofa's, chairs, stools and my all time favourite Chaise Lounge!!
