Trying to institutionalise all of us, constantly comparing us to one another but dont seem to realise we are different. Granted theres some great staff but theres so many bad staff that overshadow the good ones. Trys to be like all the other schools around and always say you go to any school and itll be the same. Well what I would like to ask is why do you want to be the same? Clearly the system is at fault when you look up and down the county and see children who are the most unmotivated generation that there has been. Stop trying to be the same as every other school!! Be different, it works wonders.
The school is okay and opportunities are provided for you to achieve what you want to. However some of the lessons are generalised to suit the majority and not everyone. Some teachers can be lazy and just set textbook work and some can set overwhelming amounts of homework.However there are also really good teachers here who want to give you a chance and want to help you. There are also lots of good clubs and student support and welfare is very good here.Overall, there are lots of good points and bad points just like any other school.From a year 11 student who goes to school here.

An amazing school as I know from experience teachers are well dedicated in what they teach the pupils. They give pupils the best possible education in each subject. All of the teachers are supportive and helpful in every way they can, they help pupils with things they struggle with. I would recommend this school and I guarantee that students will have the best education but also a happy 5 years at Meole Brace School. And finally if your child has any problems they should go and talk to a member of staff and that member of staff should go and help them out. I would like to thank Mrs Burke the head teacher of Meole Brace School for everything she has done for me over the last 5 years.
I have had two children attend Meole School, of coarse I wanted them to have a good education but above all I wanted them to be happy, I was lucky as I got both of those things from this great school, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Head Mrs Burke for the excellent way in which she runs this school, and all the teaching staff for giving my children such a great start to their working life. I would recommend this school to anyone, please do not be put off by the size it is an amazing place to educate your child. Colin Cook
