Very interesting and delightful staff! Welcoming, pleasant, polite and dedicated to a great cause! Lovely venue and will visit again when officially open to visitors and gardens are in bloom. Good and informative tour guide. Interesting second user books, covering many categories, for sale and pleasant shop!

Great place to visit. Dog friendly. Mansion in transition after christmas. Restoration being done, so quite bare. Nevertheless great walks around the deer park. Plenty of places to eat. All in all a good day out. A lovely guide took us on a tour. At present, you need to book on. Very informative. We shall return later when furniture has been put back.We are so lucky to have the national trust.

Super dog friendly, the facilities seem to improve all the time. Always have a great time walking and looking round the house. The second hand book shop is great so is a must visit for some bargains

Really like this place. Grounds are very well kept. The walks are great and even buggy friendly. Brill for dog walking and it has designated routes for on lead, on short lead and off lead. You can easily pass time here. Only 4 star because we ate there, only cakes but 2 of them weren't up to much but may have been a bad choice or off day and it was only a small cafe not the main one. Will definitely return.

Wonderful house and gardens. Be prepared to spend plenty of time with both as they are extensive. The grounds provide many walking routes which dogs particularly enjoy.even older children can enjoy this without complaining too much......The house is large and well-served by knowledgeable volunteers as with all NT properties. For those with an interest in history and the rise and fall of the super rich this is a fascinating example. The picture here is of a decorative detail in just one room about 10x40cm...these fine details are everywhere. The cafe had a reasonable range but is pricey....all in a good cause we hope.
